Activity feed/Forum to have people create general posts and have users reply in thread, chat about forum topic like Facebook/LinkedIn

Similar to LinkedIn and Facebook, would like to have an activity feed or a forum where someone can do general posts and we would allow for comments for up votes for replies, threaded replies and people can chat about the topics in the forum.
