Unread Count Badge on App Icon in React Native UIKit

At present, the React Native UIKit does not support displaying unread message counts as a badge on the application icon. This is a widely expected feature in chat applications, as it allows users to:

1. Instantly know if there are unread messages without opening the app.

2. See the exact count of unread messages reflected on the app icon badge.

We request the addition of unread count badge support for app icons on both iOS and Android platforms. This will enhance user engagement, ensure timely responses, and align with the standard behavior of modern messaging apps.
